This mid-century office tower, prominent on Louisville’s skyline, was renovated in 2022. BDC’s role in the project included providing improvements to the street level plaza and building entrance and creating a fifth-floor roof terrace within the load limit of the existing roof structure. The roof terrace serves as an outdoor destination for those who work in the building and their guests, and the views of the downtown skyline are incredible. Multiple seating areas area surrounding by planters and an arbor provides shade. A diverse range of rooftop plantings were selected to provide seasonal interest, and for their ability to withstand rooftop conditions. Upgrades to the street level planting and plaza areas meet the needs of current users, the new café, and restaurant tenants.
