Great River Landing

BDC lead a design effort for the creation of a park associated with an adaptive reuse project in Hastings, Minnesota. This five-acre mixed-use development is located along the Mississippi River, providing access to the Mississippi River Regional Trail and a multitude of water activities. Park amenities include an outdoor restaurant dining terrace, bicycle and pedestrian connections to the Mississippi River Regional Trail, a canoe rental facility, a public plaza, an ice-skating rink, and an event plaza. The park utilizes numerous environmentally sustainable best management practices, including bio-swales, roof-water capture, and an entirely native planting palate.
