Heaven Hill

Heaven Hill Brands retained BDC to create a campus landscape master plan for a new Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown Kentucky that highlights the natural beauty of rural Kentucky and it’s connection to bourbon production. The new distillery (a working industrial facility and visitor experience) was actively under construction during the master planning process and in many respects a blank slate. Our team worked closely with Heaven Hill to create a Master Plan highlighting the Bluegrass state including rolling agricultural fields, wooded hillsides, and tall grass meadows. Special design consideration was paid to the front entrance where reflecting pools, an entry plaza, and small garden space were designed to enhance the visitor experience using materials native to Kentucky.
