Piqua Main Street Revitalization

BDC lead a multi-disciplinary design team in creating a master plan for the Main Street corridor in downtown Piqua, Ohio with an emphasis on traffic calming. The proposed comprehensive improvements include signature gateways into the downtown district, streetscape improvements along the Main Street corridor, and a new town square. The overarching goals were to create a beautiful downtown setting that invites visitors and commerce while stimulating private sector investment. Piqua’s downtown district has attracted a considerable amount of investment over the last several years, and progress continues. This effort is aimed at promoting further development in this town of approximately 20,000 people.
