The UPS Air Group Corporate Campus, located along Hurstbourne Parkway in Louisville, Kentucky, contracted BDC to provide a long-term plan for the replacement of the many trees that had fallen into decline on its 20-acre property. More diverse and disease resistant tree species were selected for the parking facilities and surrounding landscape areas. Conceptual designs were developed for the employee courtyards flanking the rear building entrance that would modernize the campus’ design aesthetic, projecting a fresh corporate image. The trees were planted in 2015 and have matured into a divers and healthy tree canopy, providing a beautiful campus setting that has reduced the urban heat island effect.
