Valhalla Golf Club

BDC was a sub-consultant to Lee-J Studio and provided landscape architectural services for Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. Significant improvements to its famous golf course facility were made in anticipation of the 2024 PGA Championship. BDC worked with Lee-J studio to create a new Shelbyville Road gateway entrance, transforming the area to look as if one was entering a Kentucky horse farm. New landscaping, fencing and walls were continued along the drive leading to the clubhouse, and a new spring house was constructed between the roadway and hole 18. The clubhouse and its surrounds underwent a major renovation, and the famous 14th hole water feature was transformed by revealing the site’s natural stone outcroppings. BDC’s work included site design, planting design, permitting, and construction oversight.
